In Percival's Quest, you can play one of 7 races.

RacesEdit

DrowEdit

A subrace of elves who live deep underground. Like the elves, they are slender with delicate features and pointed ears, but have sable skin, red eyes and white hair. They can see in the dark and are intrinsically cunning and aggressive. Drow gain a +1 bonus to Attack and Mind at chargen.


DwarfEdit

Short, stout, sturdy folk who live under mountains and hills, they are nearly as varied as humans in appearance, but both women and men grow beards. They are famously skilled in metalcraft and have a reputation for drinking their weight in ale a day. Dwarves gain a +1 bonus to Fortitude and Mind at chargen.


ElfEdit

Elegant, graceful people who live in pristine forests and are reputed to be relatives of the fey.  They are slender which fair features and pointed ears, and they have fair to pale skin, blonde or pastel hair, and vibrant eyes of nearly any color. They are naturally skilled with magic and a highly artistic people, and have extremely long lifespans. Elves gain a +1 bonus to Reflex and Skill at chargen.


GnomeEdit

Small, eccentric folk who live deep within forests and in harmony with nature. They are thin, with exceptionally large noses and vividly colored eyes, but otherwise appear human-like. They are sturdy despite their size and inherently technically inclined. Gnomes gain a +1 bonus to Fortitude and Skill at chargen.


HalflingEdit

Small, community-minded people who live in a wide variety of environs. They are often confused with human children due to their appearance and stature, and are often clever enough to use this to their general advantage. They are quick and accustomed to being disadvantaged by larger races, thriving despite this. Halflings gain a +1 bonus to Defense and Reflex at chargen.


HumanEdit

An extremely varied people who are adaptable to as many places to live as the world has places to live in. Hardy or fine, light-skinned or dark, showy or austere, primitive or civilized, devout or impious, humans run the gamut. Humans typically stand from 5 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds, with men noticeably taller and heavier than women. They are quick to master specialized tasks, versatile and capable. Humans gain a bonus feat at chargen.


OrcEdit

Hardy, strong folk who live in the most inhospitable and wild lands. They are tall, with crude features, green skin, large tusks, and stringy black hair. They have a fondness for acquiring scars, whether they are tokens of pride or ornamental scars as things of beauty. As a war-like people who enjoy simple pleasures, they are adept at all manners of direct combat. Orcs gain a +1 bonus to Attack and Defense at chargen.
